Rev. Rachel Krest serves as Pastor of Grace Chapel, where she is passionate about helping people to grow in faith, build authentic community, and discover how God is at work in everyday life. A lifelong United Methodist, Rachel seeks to bring warmth, wisdom, and a deep love for Scripture to her preaching and leadership.
My Story
Before stepping into full-time ministry, she served as a bi-vocational pastor while working in University Advancement at the University of Arkansas. Prior to Grace Chapel, she served most recently at Central-Lincoln UMC. Pastor Rachel is married to Rev. Kevin Krest, and together they share a calling to ministry and a blended family of eight grown children. Now enjoying their empty-nest chapter, they love spending quality time with their kids, golf, and going on adventures whenever they can. Their dog, Muppet, is a beloved (and occasionally mischievous) companion who you might spot around the church from time to time. Pastor Rachel believes that being open and honest with God helps create the space for real spiritual growth. One of her guiding scriptures is John 10:10b — “I came that they may have life, and have it abundantly.” It shapes the way she seeks to lead others into the fullness and joy of life with Christ.
